How to use the Image Caption feature using JAWS
- Press "Insert+F6" keys to open the "Headings List" of the JAWS screen reader.
- Select the page title form the "Headings list" of the JAWS screen reader using "Up/Down Arrow" keys.
- Press the "Tab" key to move to the "Move to heading" button of the "Headings list" of the JAWS screen reader.
- Press the "Space" key to change the focus to the page tidal of the page.
- Press "Ctrl+Down Arrow" keys to move to the image of the Confluence page.
- If the image is a regular image, the JAWS screen reader will express the image to the user.
- If the image is a Optical Character Recognition "OCR" capable, JAWS announces the user to click "Get more details" button to get the text that the image has.
- Press the "Tab" key to move to the "Get more details" button.
- Press "enter" key to click on the "Get more details" button of the image.
- Once the Optical Character Recognition "OCR" feature renders the data of the image, the NVDA screen reader will announces the user that the "Details successfully retrieved" related to the image.
- Press "Ctrl+Down Arrow" keys to get the focus on the image to make JAWS screen reader reads the content of the Optical Character Recognition "OCR" capable image of the Confluence page.
